We are so proud to announce that at the recent MHI Congress and Expo The Lifestylst Brands was awarded the Best Model Home award for a retail center. This home was built by SE Homes of Texas, and was owned by R & R Mobile Homes in DeRidder, LA.
This is a great honor and we love having the opportunity to help these great clients sell homes.
We love designing model homes that actually sell. A model home shouldn’t just be about pretty colors or furniture – it’s all about merchandising a home so that potential buyers will fall in love wth the floorplan and finishes.
This Lifestylist Designed model home that we did for @homeBuilders accomplished that – the colors, lifestyle and furniture placemant made this a home that you wouldn’t forget.
The Louisville Manufactured Housing Show was held this week, and hundreds of manufactured housing buyers attended the event that had 48 homes showcasing what’s new in home design.
It motivated me to revisit the homes that Lifestylist Design had merchandised for Patriot Homes over the years and I came across this one. It’s the perfect example of timeless design, or even deign ahead of it’s time. Drapery panels instead of fussy valances? Yes. High flat ceilings? Yes again. Soft muted colors accented by fabrics and accessories? Exactly what we are seeing today. Believe it or not, this was a home that was shown 8 years ago!
This is a perfect example why great design will never go out of style. When looking for your new home look for ideas that aren’t trendy but are something you want to live with for a long time. By adding color in items that can easily be replaced like fabric, furniture and accessories you’ll always be in style.
2013 was a great year for the Lifestylist Brands. We were honored to be asked to speak at some large national conferences, new clients joined our family and we continued to be more active in social media.
Flipagram is an app that lets you choose photos that you used in Instargam and make a flip book movie out of them.

It is so exciting to see the changes that are coming in the design world. Technology is making a huge difference in the way we live, and with LED lighting becoming more affordable there are some really exciting changes coming in lighting and how we use light.
As a Lifestylist® it’s really important to me that I keep up with changes and trends so Sunday I’m heading to the Las Vegas Market. Usually go for a day or two, but there are so many great seminars this time I’m going to spend a few extra days to learn about what’s new and what we’ll be seeing in 2014.
Customers visit model homes to see what’s new, and showing them new design trends gives them a reason to want to buy a new home. The Lifestylist® Brands visit at least 4 trade shows a year to make sure that we know what’s hot and what’s not.
Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter for updates right from the show.
When you walk model homes today you can definitely see a difference in the attitude of buyers – we’ve gone from dark, gloomy homes without a lot of color to light open floorplans and design that bring the outdoors in. White kitchens and baths are trending, and the more natural light the better in every part of the home.
The Lifestylist® Brands are super busy and we are getting to work on amazing homes that are innovative and “push” the normal boundaries we’ve been working with. We are even working on a residence with it’s own bowling wing!
Here’s a few photos of some of the clubhouses, residences and apartments we’ve been working on – let us know what we can help you with.
Recently Lifestylist Design was asked to merchandise a new home for the Clayton Home Store in Desoto, Texas.
The home being featured was on of the new TruMH homes that’s all about getting back to basics. These well designed homes are perfect for land lease communities and pricing is kept low by focusing on what factory built housing does best – keeping options to a minimum and taking advantage of volume pricing.
Just because a home is affordable doesn’t mean that it can’t have lots of style. We loved adding the Lifestylist touch to this home and showing people how much value this home has.
If you would like to find out more about how you can buy your new home at Clayton Homes Desoto, give them a call at: 972-230-8030.
What exciting times these are for the building industry! The economy is starting to get back on track, and consumers are more positive about their futures and the thought of buying a new home.
The Lifestylist Brand is all about “Life Celebrating Style” and it’s great to have something to celebrate again! Attending The Builders Show and seeing what is new is the perfect way to start this New Year. It’s the first year that the show is being held in Las Vegas in awhile, and it seems like there are going to be exhibitors showing that haven’t been there in awhile. I’m also excited to see The New American Home – we were the Lifestylists for the 2011 home and I appreciate now more than ever how much work goes into each home.
On Tuesday I will be speaking on a panel discussing “90 Design Trends in 90 Minutes”. It was really hard to chose which ideas to talk about and it promises to be a fast paced program filled with great ideas. If you are attending the Builders Show I hope that you’ll come and join us.
It’s going to be really tough to get to do and see everything that I want to in 2 days, but I promise to take lots of notes and pictures and share what I see and hear here.
t’s looking like this Lifestylist® is going to be spending a lot more time in the kitchen this year, and we couldn’t be more excited! Our test kitchen is coming along really well, and we have a lot of kitchens we are designing for clients which is always lots of fun.
January is going to be a month spent on the road. Besides working with all of our clients we have been invited to the beautiful Thermador flagship design center to see what’s new as well as work on new appliances for the future.
The International Builders Show will be taking place in Las Vegas, and it is always a great source of trends in home design.
We’ll have lots to talk about and share, and we are also anxious to know what you think about the new trend to brighter, whiter kitchens. Susan Serra, one of the premiere kitchen designers just did an article for Cultivate on Kitchen Predictions for 2013 that has lots of great information so we wanted to share. What do you think will be the top kitchen trend in 2013?
Our goal at Lifestylist Design is to accent the community lifestyle in every home that we merchandise, and The Hammocks at Canandaigua has lots to work with!
Located on a beautiful ridge just about Canandaigua Lake and the historic town of Canandaigua, residents will be able to sail and kayak on the lake, hike or ride bikes on the miles of trails around the lake, enjoy brunch or dinner in one of the quaint locally owned bistros in town, or just hang out on their patio and enjoy the view.
Construction is well under way, and the rental office is already open so potential residents can chose their favorite location in the community. We have had so much fun working on the interior for the clubhouse – I can’t wait to have it all in place and complete!
We’ll have more photos soon – I can’t wait to see all of the progress.
